The Day We Suddenly Wanted to Go Skiing

I am driving on the highway, heading toward the ski resort.
It all started last night.
My son suddenly blurted out, "I want to go skiing!"
Apparently, he was inspired by some skilled friends during his ski lessons at school.
It seems he could no longer suppress his desire to become better at skiing.
Our destination is "Fujiten Snow Resort" at the foot of Mount Fuji.
It takes less than three hours by car from our house.
We woke up early this morning and hit the road.

The sky is clear and sunny with a gentle breeze.
There is no snow on the surrounding roads.
It makes me wonder if we can really ski, but it's going to be okay.
This ski resort has snowmaking machines.
As long as the temperature stays low, we don't have to worry about a lack of snow.

Arrived at the resort! Heading straight to the lift.
A high-speed lift was introduced starting this season.
This high-speed lift is said to be one of the fastest in Japan.

Perfect, powdery snow.
No crowds, just pure comfort.
Many international tourists were there.

Lunch time! I had a fried chicken bowl, and my son had curry.
The restaurant was packed and lively!
It seems that many tourists are coming from Asian countries.

From time to time, foreign tourists spoke to me in English about the ski runs.
"Where is the beginner course?" "How difficult is that course?"
I felt disappointed in my English skills since I could only answer with single words.
I really need to study more!

We skied until evening and then went home.

The next day, I had muscle aches all over my body.
Work is still hard, as usual.
Dinner and watching streaming videos afterward are my way of relaxing.

The most exhausting thing that happened this week was the Outlook malfunction.
This issue was caused by a Windows Update.
A few of the company's computers are having trouble with email.
For some reason, the tedious task of fixing it always falls on me.
The company I work for still uses POP3 and stores all our emails on local storage.
And fax machines are also commonly used.
I’d rather have them abolish faxes and move to webmail than start an Instagram account.
I wish I had more time for myself.
