Checkup Flagged Me : Time to Reevaluate My Diet

Walk

I was flagged in my health checkup.

As I walked, I thought about what to do next.

Two points were pointed out.

"It's putting a strain on the liver."

"You have a lot of visceral fat, and there's a risk of developing diabetes if this continues."

Yes, I know what the cause is.

As for the liver, I think it's because I drink too much alcohol.

I drink alcohol every day.

The quantity is not that much.

About 500ml of beer or highball.

But sometimes I end up drinking four glasses of wine at Saizeriya.

As for visceral fat, I think it's because I eat dinner too late.

Apparently, eating late makes it easier for visceral fat to accumulate.

I will reflect on my eating habits.

7:00 AM. Breakfast. Usually a banana and tomato juice.

12:00 PM. I buy a bento, sweet bread, ramen, etc. from a convenience store.

3pm. I drink a Monster Energy to stay awake.

7pm. Snack. Famichiki, etc.

11:00 PM. Dinner. Steak, beef bowl, yakisoba, etc.

…….

It's not the same every day, but this is roughly what I eat.

My eating habits are awful.

So I received nutrition counseling guidance provided by my health insurance.

While my overall alcohol intake is not considered excessive, I was warned that four glasses of wine is too much.

I was also instructed to have a day where I didn't drink alcohol.

This is to give your liver a rest.

Several points were made to me regarding my visceral fat.

"If you don't eat breakfast, you're more likely to gain weight."

"Your breakfast shouldn't be too small."

I was told to eat ramen less often for lunch.

"Ramen is high in calories, fat, and salt."

"Famichiki is high in calories, fat, and sugar."

"Let's lower our LDL cholesterol."

Yes, I think so too.

I always ate it with a sense of guilt.

Regarding dinner, I was told that I eat too late and the portion size is too large.

"Instead of having Famichiki at 7 p.m., let's have nuts."

"Reduce the amount of your 11 p.m. dinner."

"At the very least, let's reduce your dinner portion by the amount you ate for the nuts."

"If possible, have dinner earlier."

"Do some cardio."

"Eat more fish."

I was given a lot of guidance.

I have to go to Hama Sushi again.

Weight, waist circumference and BMI will be measured again in three months.

I'm starting a diet.

Goodbye, Famichiki...
